Into the Desert and Back Again: A Lenten Study and Reflection

This Old Testament study follows the Israelites entering the desert through the story of Joseph (son of Jacob and Rachel) and leaving the desert through the story of Moses. Daily scripture reading and reflection questions will bring the themes of this journey to life and make them applicable to life in the 21st Century. Individuals or groups may enter into this journey and special tips are given for those who may be new to a scripture study. By the time you approach Easter, you will be filled with joy for the Promised Land and the Resurrection.

Centered around the four themes of Advent (Love, Joy, Peace, and Hope), it’s a great way to change the focus from the commercialism of the holiday to the religious significance this holiday holds.
